On June 28, 2019 at Landmark Mekong Riverside Hotel, the signing ceremony of the Consultancy Contract for the National Road 11 Construction Project (which will link Vientiane via Xayaboury province to northern Thailand) between the Asian Engineering Consultant Corp., Ltd. (AEC), Thailand and the Department of Roads under the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Lao PDR.

The event was attended by the Minister of Public Work and Transport, Embassy of Thailand, Staffs of Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ministry of Finance, and other related ministries as well as guests from private sector.

The Lao Grobal Engineering and Development Consultants Co., Ltd (LGE) in association with Lao Transport Engineering Consultant (LTEC) participated in this project bidding as local partners. It is considered as one of the successful milestones at the start of 2019 for LGE.

LGE has been providing civil consultancy services since 2012 and is a trustworthy company for many international projects. LGE also now working on a rural development programme in Myanmar in association with Burmese firm, Suntac.

The project is a 122 km of road from Nonsavanh-Kokkhaodor villages to Vang and Namseng villages via Xanakham district and link with another route in Xayaboury province, Lao PDR before going to northern Thailand. The project is funded by the Neighbouring Countries Economic Development Cooperation Agency (NEDA) with an amount of 1.8 billion baht (513.6 billion kip) of this 50 million baht will be spent on the consultancy services. The consultancy services will be commenced on July 2019 and will continue for the next 36 months.
